Ground Effect Ground effect as a theoretical category is an asymptotic value, which decreases with increase of altitude. Theoretically it reduces to zero at very high altitudes. For practical reasons the IMO has defined the region of altitudes in which the ground effect acts as a value of 50 % of medium wing depths of a craft. We designed different profile and wing forms with different behaviour in the flaring motion. These results can be used in the design of different types of crafts. For the Seafalcon 08 ground effect is effective up to altitudes of about 3 m (Then we have about 10 % of lift increase in comparison with great altitudes).
